Women’s Mental Health Fellowship at UT Southwestern – Dallas, TX

The Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern is now accepting applications for its newly launched Women’s Mental Health (WMH) Fellowship. This TMB-accredited, fully funded 1-year fellowship offers two positions for psychiatrists beginning on July 1st, 2025.
 
The WMH Fellowship provides specialized training in the treatment of psychiatric conditions that affect women, including:
•Perinatal psychiatric disorders
•Trauma-related disorders
•Substance use disorders
•Eating disorders
 
Fellows will gain hands-on experience through rotations at Parkland Health, UT Southwestern, and community clinics, working with a wide range of patient demographics. The fellowship emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, with teams including obstetrics/gynecology and addiction specialists. Additionally, fellows will participate in weekly didactics, teach medical students and residents, and complete a scholarly project.
 
Eligibility:
•Completion of a U.S.-accredited psychiatric residency by July 2025
•Texas medical license by the start date
•Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
 
Application Process:
•Applications accepted from July 1st to January 1st

•Submit your CV, three letters of recommendation (including one from your training director), personal statement, and proof of passing

USMLE/COMLEX scores

•Interviews will take place from July 1st to February 1st
