As an Assistant Vice President of the Risk Management Group, Denise provides risk management services to Allied World’s policyholders insured through the APA endorsed Psychiatrists’ malpractice program administered by the American Professional Agency (www.americanprofessional.com). She works directly with policyholders to develop individualized action plans to mitigate potential loss based on their unique exposures and risk management needs.
Denise brings 35+ years’ experience in nursing, healthcare, and 20+ years of specialized healthcare risk management expertise. Denise earned her Diploma in Nursing from Baystate School of Nursing, BSN from UMass Amherst, and completed her Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago. She maintains professional certifications including CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management) and holds the distinguished recognition of DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management). As a recognized thought leader, Denise regularly presents at regional and national conferences.
Denise is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) and serves as chair of the Forum Task Force and is a former member and chair of the New Member Task Force. Denise is an active member of the Massachusetts Society for Healthcare Risk Management (MSHRM), served as president and chair for the Nominating Committee, Membership
Committee, and the Programs/Education Committee. Denise’s regional involvement includes numerous leadership and planning roles for the New England Regional Risk Management Conference.
